  1. JT hurt the ref CJ Washington’s feeling for not doing his job properly. JT will get fined but goddamn, if the NBA wants the players to respect the officials, they should do their job competently and if they made mistakes especially when they hugely affect the game, they should get suspensions and fines too. Still kudos to JT for calling out an incompetent official.

  2. Joe Mazzulla: “So, as you may have noticed, I have locked you referees in this room with me to go over some of these egregious officiating calls. You’re going to get through all of this in entirety. Without further ado.”

    *presses play*

“Uh, Joe, this isn’t any of the games. This is *The Town*.”

    Mazzulla: “I know.”

  3. Two captain obvious statements:

One blowout loss was never going to define the team.

And now that they have the Franchise Home record for the start of the season, let’s beat it not just by two, but a lot. At least 25-0.

  4. Seems like I’m in the minority here but it feels great to beat Ime. Listen to his pregame press conference: When asked about the development of Tatum and Brown’s growth in the time since he’s left he basically took credit and complimented himself for it, humble-bragged about “all” of the coaches coming with him (this is cap, Miles, Stoudamire, Reynolds, Macleay, Mazzulla, Dobbins, and Hardy took other jobs or stayed, he just took his hometown buddy Ben Sullivan and like 3 low-level player development coaches), he also called the Celtics players liars when they said they didn’t have all the details of his suspension, he kept bringing up how he still sees / talks to the guys (seemed kind of desperate), and when given a layup question to basically just say anything nice about Joe he just called him “ambitious” and “thought highly of by others”

Based on the situation and his responses since, the dude is clearly a narcissist. And overall for all his bullshit reputation about accountability, at least publicly he’s really taken no responsibility for anything he did. In the span of a couple of weeks, the dude made probably the dumbest finals adjustment I’ve ever seen playing drop defense against Steph Curry in the NBA finals, sold the team in Game 4, then cheated on Nia Long in a workplace relationship that by at least some credible reports became non-consensual.

Lost his wife, lost his kid, lost his job, lost millions, lost himself a title, and is now working for one of the worst owners in the NBA. I really hope she was worth it bro. Thanks for those 5 months we played good basketball with you with a rested Al and a healthy Rob. Enjoy the 9th seed.

  5. I like that JT is in the locker room and I don’t have to watch him hug udoka after the game

  6. Ime seems like a big ol jock arsehole, even his comments before the game were backhanded, another fragile male who acts like he is the victim

  7. Someone gotta clip that refs you suck chant. I swear that was one of the clearest crowd chants I’ve ever heard. 😂

  8. I love the he fact we were up by like 30 late in the 3rd and Joe was still standing up calling plays and everything, while ime was sitting down. It’s a small thing but means a lot to me.
