Kyle Kuzma led the Wizards with 29 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists as Deni Avdija (19 points, 14 rebounds, 9 assists) and Jordan Poole (20 points) totaled 39 points. Trae Young led the Hawks with 21 points and 10 assists. The Wizards improve to 4-31 as the Hawks move to 15-23.

You cannot make this up man. Just when you think it can’t get any worse this team manages to surprise you unpleasantly. It’s one thing to not play good basketball throughout a season due to a rebuild/bad roster but you mean to tell me this team that still has some talent, enough talent to at least be a .500 team is playing at this poor level. This was against a team that is TANKING, and it wasn’t even a close game. I know the hawks are horrible defensively but to shoot only 34% and only score 99 with a poor offensive performance, the side of the ball where they have had success is just unbelievable. As fans we already have accepted it’s been a horrible season, but the fact that this team can’t even put together a decent stretch of games, or create any sense of hope or optimism just is demoralizing. Obviously a trade is coming i’d assume, probably to retool for what year potentially. I mean we all know 21-22 we felt disappointed with 43 wins, then felt more disappointed with 41 wins in 22-23, now this year on pace for just 32 wins when the roster is built to try and win games. Out of all the teams in the association, it is very clear. The Atlanta Hawks are by far the most confusing and disappointing team. #TrueToAtlanta
