Canucks bussing to Toronto

Looking at the Canucks flight numbers ACA7037 and ACA7038. The next scheduled flight is out of Toronto to Columbus.

  1. Unfortunate they have to do a bit of extra travelling, but definitely the right call. Buffalo is just completely under snow right now. It’s crazy how bad the blizzard is right now.

  2. It’s possible they’re already in Toronto, Murph tweeted yesterday that Leafs GM Treliving was in
Buffalo at the game scouting Canucks/Sabres and was driving back to Toronto after the game. I assume Canucks were able to do the same

  3. Another chance to bond! We will win the stanley cup because of this bus trip. Mark my word!

  4. There is a travel ban in effect so they cannot bus either. Kate Pettersen (who travels with the team) posted an hour ago that they are still in Buffalo.

Ben Kuzma did an article and a team spokesperson said they are under a travel ban and “holding” in Buffalo right now. It’s possible the game tomorrow could be postponed until after their game in Winnipeg.

Edit: also it’s important to note that flight numbers and tail numbers (or aircraft identification numbers) are not the same thing. They don’t use the exact same plane every time, if they are in a city for a few days usually the plane will leave to be used by another team (as they don’t make money sitting on the tarmac) this particular flight that OP posted could just be the one that was supposed to bring them from Columbus to Winnipeg. It’s hard to tell without the tail number.

  5. If they are bussing to Toronto… why not just bus right to Columbus? Would probably be faster than bussing to Toronto then transferring to airplane then flying to Columbus, transfering to bus and then hotel.

Could just door of hotel to door of hotel on the bus in the same time. Way easier to grab a nap and some charter busses are comfortable as fuck compared to a plane.
