  1. Interesting implications, we just heard they finished GM in person interviews. I believe Davis has said he wants the GM to be a part of the HC process.

    This would imply we will hear who our new GM is tomorrow.

  2. We have to interview two Rooney Rule candidates before making a hire and Pierce doesn’t count towards it, just an FYI.

  7. He’s one of the few Rooney candidates that can come in for an in person interview. Not to say that’s the only reason he’s interviewing but like come on… Need two of these in person interviews and would have to wait another week to bring anyone else in.

  11. i dont think mark would interview someone just for the rule. If we see them interview someone, its because he is generally interested in hearing what they have to offer.

  13. The concept/principle is great on paper and then turns into a total clown show in real world application. Somehow it feels even more racist now

  14. Pretty sure this means we are getting AP. As long as this is in person, it means they are satisfying the Rooney rule by interviewing guys who aren’t currently coaching. Means we can get around waiting until the 22nd to interview current coaches.

  17. The guy has been a pretty good defensive coach. If someone hires PG as their head coach it might be good to have started a dialogue with Frazier. I agree that I don’t think he is a serious HC candidate.

  18. Frazier was an interim head coach who ended up getting the full time job. Maybe that’s part of the thought process in setting up this interview

  20. IMO at least bring in a up-and-coming college coach or position coach and give a fresh face some interview experience if we’re just bringing in guys to fulfill the Rooney Rule.

    No one in their right mind thinks we’re hiring Leslie Frazier as HC so at least do some good with the interview.

  21. How come the patriots were able to hire within the organization without complying to Rooney Rule standards?
