  5. Underrated funny part of this season is getting the average goaltending we all asked for. If you told us UPL was doing this well we’d think we’re in a playoff spot.

  6. Good game today. Nice shutout for UPL and a win is a win even if its against the worst team in the league. Definitely not the cleanest but something to build off of and now onto the Bills

  7. 7 points out and a little less than half of the season left. I know they’re super inconsistent but man if they can work out a 5-6 game winning streak, we’re right back in this race.

  9. Thrilled for Upie and happy for Casey too. They didn’t play a very good game but they got it done. Another very winnable game coming up next.

    Sabres looked amazing on that last shift [when the Sharks were just trying to get out of there] – like the gd harlem globe trotters passing around the generals and it was Clifton, Girgs, Bensen…

  17. Play like this and we can win. The Sharks may be bottom of the league, but they still try to claw and fight to get a win.

  21. Kind of random question but was anyone else getting some weird audio for the last five minutes of the game? A kind of echoey sound after they finished talking?

  22. Now is the perfect time to trade Mittelstadt. Ya, I know he has been good for the last season and a half, but four seasons ago, he wasn’t what I expected from a player drafted 7OA, and he hasn’t done enough to change my mind.

    According to CapFriendly the Sabres already have their 1C and 2C locked in for the next seven years, and we should not question that. The Sabres need to trade Mittelstadt now for some good futures and move players buried behind him this year into his role and expect better results. Adams should then backfill more with one of the many unproven but highly regarded prospects to round out the roster.

    It’s going to be a very important season next year and Adams needs to ensure that the team has the most potential possible.

  23. I was at the Shark’s last game where they played against Ottawa. Ottawa won 5-4 but only because they managed to score in the last 4 seconds of the 3rd to break the tie. I didn’t like to see Ottawa get 2 points after that game but at least Buffalo was able to get a shut-out in this one so I feel better.

  24. Have to beat the teams around and beneath you. Over the past few weeks, they’ve done that – bar the loss at OTT. Still a long way to go to compete for a playoff spot, but at least making the right moves toward it.

    Will make for a tricky trade deadline if we keep it up.
