Peters said he took the job because he can start this franchise over (paraphrased, of course). He wants for rebuild the roster and coaching staff. He might see potential in Howell, but he’s not going to NOT choose his future QB with the number 2 pick.

I still think Howell will be a starter. He didn’t have a chance this year for a lot of reasons. I mean, technically he had a a chance, but the odds were just too stacked against him. New regime, new coach, they’re going to get a new qb. I also think..wait for it…Emmanuel Forbes is going to be a solid corner. Call me crazy, but he had a high school coach this season. How can someone progress at the next level when their coach isn’t even qualified to coach them at their previous level?
