  1. Haven’t seen a crowd this good since Seattle’s 12th man.

…or the 2007 “we believe” Golden state warriors.

  2. Do we think the energy will be the same for this Sunday’s game? I’m attending and hope it’s just as strong if not more intense! I also wonder if they’ll do the light-up bracelets, etc. like they did this past Sunday.

  3. There were a couple points where I was like “Shit I gotta put in my ear plugs” but they were already in.

  4. Honestly impressive. Half the people by us were season ticket holders and not making noise or standing for most of the game.

  5. I lost my voice and strained a muscle in my leg climbing up seats to hug people I’d been seeing games with since I was a child. I fucking love this team and I fucking love Detroit.

  6. There were two little kids with their dad in front of us wearing rams jerseys on Sunday. They were both covering their ears each time our D went out there, especially in the first half – looked like they were in agony! Shit was ridiculous.

  7. One of the loudest places I’ve ever been in was the tunnel & semi-enclosed vendor area behind the seats at Raymond-James Stadium after we steam-rolled the Bucs. Lions fans were so loud my watch was freaking the fuck out telling me I had to get out of there lol. Which, according to my watch was only 105 decibels. So 133 is insane. My ears hurt & I lost my voice, but it’ll be an experience I’ll never forget.

Is this 133.6 decibels at Ford Field a new NFL record? What’s the record for the loudest NFL game?

  8. I am proud to be part of that number. My go to is to clap pretty much non stop as they’re going into the huddle and do all kinds of noises and mix it up throughout the game. From whistles to wooos to boos and ahhhs. Lol. Voice is still hoarse but not bad

  9. I watched the game on TV and during that bogus 4th down false start call you could very clearly hear the crowd chant bullshit over the announcers. That game was such a joy to watch. I’m rooting for Detroit to win it all this season.

  10. I wish the big screen would reflect this at the game. I was watching it almost the entire time because I like to see how loud we get and it sat around 118-120 which is as high as I saw it during the Ravens game last year and a bunch of games this year. I wonder what the inconsistency is there

  11. Very important to remember:

    1) Bring ear protection!!

    2) Go ballistic as soon as their play clock starts counting down. Destroy the huddle. Make the QB cover his ears every time a call comes in.

  12. How was it compared to that Monday night game against the bears? That Jahvid Best TD run nearly blew my eardrums, lol.

  13. I was stuck in a parking garage after the game trying to leave, and everyone in the garage started chanting “Lets go Lions” and then honking the beat afterwards, it was straight up magical from the doors opening until we were outside of Detroit.

  14. from a TV viewing experience (maybe its the way the TV projects the sound or the network does) but it still seems like that CHI Monday night game is/was the barometer for loudest game I have heard…perhaps it was extenuated by the false starts and the timeouts, too, but just my thought.

  15. The db meter on the jumbotron hit 120. On the first Rams Drive. It still hovered around 115 for the Rams until the time clock ran out. Then it went nuts.
But they weren’t posting the volumes once everyone ran on the field..

I couldn’t officially say exactly where they are measuring the volume at?
Like 130 on the Field? And 120 at the top of the dome?

  16. Keep in mind basic foam earplugs are suitable for this, you really don’t need anything fancy. I have lifelong tinnitus in my right ear from one game at Ford Field that wasn’t as loud as these.
