$16.67M per for age 35-37 seasons? Guy was phenomenal in 2023 but much closer to ‘good’ the three years before that. Hard pass at that $$.
35 year old reliever coming off by far his best season? I’m good
If we’re gonna overpay a reliever it should be Hader. Not a 35 year old losing fastball velocity. Preferably neither tho

I just don’t see the point in spending $50m on a reliever when every single season we pull a guy like Holmes or King or Loaisiga or Hamilton or Luetge or Marinaccio out of thin air.
Would anyone really be that surprised if Cody Morris or Victor Gonzalez or whoever puts up comparable numbers to Neris next season?
