Good, because I still find myself calling them the San Diego Chargers. Good think I don’t write articles or announce games.
They will always be the San Diego Chargers! F-LA
ESPN – BREAKING: Jim Harbaugh OUT of Chargers coaching search upon hearing they are no longer in San Diego. Harbaugh, who left the NFL for Michigan 2 years prior to the Chargers 2017 move to L.A., was shocked to learn of the move, saying it was a deal-breaker as he wanted to coach “his former team, not this new L.A. team.” Chargers owner Dean Spanos and his son and President of Football Operations, John Spanos, confirmed in a statement that they are now looking for “fresh blood” and an up-and-coming coordinator to bring in an “innovative approach” to revitalize the L.A. Chargers brand of football.

This is why if you change cities, change the name. Let the original city keep the name in trust, like Cleveland.
