  1. Uhh, what? I thought we’re going with 3 goalies?

If he gets claimed what happens lol? Elvis and Tarasov share the net?

That’s sort of unexpected? At least I didn’t expect it.

  2. I hope he clears. They sent Cajan to get a little more help in Kalamazoo, it would be great to have a veteran presence there.

Edit: sounds like when/if he clears then Jiricek comes back up in his roster spot

  3. I thought there were rules saying we couldn’t put him on waivers because of how we acquired him?

ETA: looked it up – this is fine, we just can’t trade him without offering him back to Vancouver.

Of course, they are perfectly able to claim him right now anyway.

  4. I just dont understand what Jarmo is doing. Elvis gets held out and sits in the press box for 2ish weeks, gets pissed off and requests a trade and goes on media rants… then we decide, oh hey maybe we don’t want to carry 3 goalies after all, after Elvis has already had a meltdown… and send Martin to Cleveland

And Jiricek, who was held out to reportedly have some more in depth practice session, now goes to play in Cleveland for the weekend, but then comes back in time to travel? What?

  5. I don’t hate Jiricek going down. He probably would have anyway for the monsters playoff race. Let him get some first line minutes and power play time. Then we can showcase some of there guys we’re trying to move up here some more.

Hope Martin clears, liked having him here

  6. Jiricek definitely could use to finish the season out w/Monsters. Better for developing…and he just isn’t there yet full time NHL. Has a bright future, no need to rush it for this season. I really don’t care what people say…Blankenberg when healthy is way better now! Besides Peeke and Boquist have to be playing everyday if there is hope of trading either @ the deadline to up whatever value they may have? Personally, I hope Peeke stays. He blocks shots, kills penalties, plays hard, and is a physical presence on the back end. Personally I think Boquist and Bean can be the best trade bait….but the return has to be decent hopefully
