  1. Did people expect this to be quick? Nick is fighting for his job I’d expect it to be longer.

  2. I would have been shocked, regardless of the outcome, if the meeting was less than an hour.

  3. for the f5ers – I think we will only hear news if he is fired. If not, I don’t expect the team to even mention it.

  4. I would say accounts like this and other aggregate accounts should not be trusted for any sort of information at all. Wait until an actual reporter posts something.

  5. I meet with my boss every other week for an hour in a 1 on 1. I would expect this meeting to have significantly more depth than “how can we improve the work environment and please tell me any of your concerns”.

  6. They are on the 300th round of rock/paper/scissors. Nick keeps picking rock and Jeff can’t believe he doesn’t change it up.

Edit to add: Nick was up 10-1, before Jeff noticed he kept throwing rock. Now it’s 10-290.

  7. “So Nick, after all of those press conferences where you said you were learning, tell me: what. Did. You. Learn.”

  8. This should be at least a 3 hour meeting.

Nick needs to detail what exactly went wrong and how he’s going to fix it and then give Lurie a vision for next year and the future with the new staff he decides and why he picked these guys.

The shorter it is means Nick is either gone or not prepared.

  9. I just wouldn’t be able to wrap my head around him staying

Keeping Sirianni doesn’t just mean you go after great coordinators.. it means the top tier coordinators won’t even be available.. Like you want Ben Johnson or Slowik? They aren’t going to make a sideways move so you better be offering a HC position.. same applies to the defensive side of the ball

It just hamstrings the team so bad

  10. Nicks staying, BJ is staying, new, experienced DC and new offensive assistants/advisors with BJ having more freedom to add his schemes into our offense is what I predict.

  11. How long did they expect the meeting to go for? I would think it would be atleast a couple of hours.

  12. Honestly, the longer it goes the better it seems for Nick’s chances. I wasn’t on the fire him train until just a couple weeks ago but I’m kind of bummed if he comes back

  13. Just dropping in to say if you think the eagles would ever or should ever hire BB, Vrabel, or Harbaugh, I don’t know what org you’ve been watching over the last 20 years.

Those guys would wanna strangle Howie, and I doubt they’d want to coach in Philly. Just doesn’t seem like it fits. I’m ok with Nick running it back if he has a plan.

  14. Surprise outcome: Nick stages the Chip coup and sends Howie back to the closet and gets Sam Bradford out of retirement to unleash the true Sirianni offense.

  15. I’ll always remember where I was when the Eagles didn’t announce on Friday 1/19 whether or not Nick was staying with the team and when they ultimately fire him midway through next season.

  16. If he’s staying the Eagles won’t make an announcement. Just going to let it leak that they are looking for a new DC and “consultant” to advise Nick and BJ on offense.

  17. I would imagine an hour long meeting means he’s likely staying. Can’t imagine it taking an hour for Lurie to say gtfo or for Nick to make a case for staying on.
