  1. Agreed. I just want them to try. But it’s like oh cool if we have a scrappy team that will get people excited and we can build another hotel.

  2. I think it starts with making the Marquee Network a very, very successful product and money (to spend on the team, Dodger- style) pouring in. WGN was the epicenter of the nationwide Cub love/popularity once. Give the people a great product for a great price across the nation. That is how it can be taken to the next level.

  3. If you’re going to complain about the team not spending money, at least use some logic. Using the Heyward, Zobrist, Lackey, Fowler deals as an example when they’ve done a bunch of very similar deals in the last 2 years with Swanson, Stroman, Suzuki, Bellinger, Taillon. And then complaining about them not extending Steele when he is several years from free agency. Thats not how it works and this article is nonsensical.

  4. Cubbies Crib is a joke. Frustration is acceptable, but this ridiculous overblown claims are absurd. “Best pitching prospect since Prior”?? What is that claim? Ferris is back end top 100 at best right now? He could very well be a Top 20 in 2026 but we literally have a top 20 pitching prospect CURRENTLY in Horton. Bleacher Nation has clickbait too but at least they have some coherent arguments.

  5. Don’t let these guys cry poor from their multiple Lake front mansions, put our money back into the team
