  1. Mentally soft team. Same errors and mistakes.

What we saw tonight and Thursday is what would have happened all season if our goaltending wasnt superhuman all season

  2. I’m guessing the next few practice sessions are going to come with a heavy emphasis on defence.

Power play looked pretty good, at least, and some of the right people got points. But otherwise, this is one to aggressively forget.

  3. *BAD*

    – Thankfully I had guests over and was kinda watching the game which is good because it’s like what is there to analyze anyways it kinda was pretty well crap. Something about Boston over the years they own us, which sucks, but the truth.

    – Defensive coverage. Just because there isn’t much to say about doesn’t mean there isn’t a lot to say about it, I’ll just save the time. Every defensemen was out to lunch tonight. Savard and Struble particularly tough nights.

    – Lots of games in few nights. Team is exhausted, no excuse but it also is true.

    – So many turnovers. Really bad one from Slaf, live and learn. Ever see that Nanalan instagram meme, it’s ok birdy… that’s what it’s like criticizing Slaf hahah. Here is the link… enjoy https://youtu.be/GwC0ZxaABzQ?si=I2eKtWBg6ESg8SFs.

    – Defense was bad but anytime you allow 8 goals that isn’t a great night Monty.

    – Google > Habs lineup tonight > Pick Player > They played bad.

    – Insert what I’ve said all year about the passive penalty kill and overall defensive structure. That’s on the staff.

    – Xhekaj time this team soff.

    – 15 goals against in two games. Did they score again ? If so add it on.

    *GOOD*

    – Caufield continues his heater in the goal department.

  4. I want to see them angry next game. Against Ottawa too.

On an happy note, Laval continue to win. Every habs fans should watch them. Just a fun team to cheer for right now

  5. After 2 periods I was genuinely looking forward to the 3rd. Close game! What an awful 3rd period. Monty should have been pulled after he gave up the 6th.

  6. Meh. Young team doing some good things, some bad things against a first place team gonna get burned. They’re learning. Slaf won’t make a mistake like that again. The defence will get better. Year 2 of a rebuild. Yeah, the year has seen bright spots and dark ones. This was a dark one. On to the next.

  7. Ok guys it’s one game out of 82, we flush it down and move on to the next one.

But I’d trade Barron while he still has value, honestly not seeing his offensive potential and he is a defensive liability.

  8. This is what tanking gets us, fucking embarrassed by the Bruins. They’ve never had to tank, they know how to build a competitive team, we just follow the fucking Sabres into never seeing the playoffs again.

  9. Bag skate for every-fucking-body tomorrow. Fuck what your life habits or your religion says about Sundays.

Can we fire Stéphane Robidas? If that is what he coaches as a D-man coach, we are in for a very rough ride when the D-corps needs proper serious and seasoned coaching.

Xhekaj/Mailloux up and Harris/Barron down before Tuesday’s game.

  10. I bailed after 7-4. I see it only got worse. Twice this week I’ve turned off the game. We’re awful. Hurts more when it’s against an historic rival. Is what it is. We have to turn a corner one of these years, right?

  11. The lack of fire and passion when we start getting pounded makes it very very concerning that this team is becoming accustomed to losing.

We want to build a winning culture, and losing in such an embarrassing way to a huge rival should make these guy’s blood boil. Instead I see way too many passive expressions and it scares me that we are building a losing culture.

  12. No gumption and no passion in the defence.

Worst game of the season by far!

I hope St Louis has a film day tomorrow.

  13. Can we like close our eyes and forget about tonight’s game …so sad..terrible game and I don’t even know who to put the blame on

  14. 5th in 7, this team that has overachieved to this point in the season no longer has the legs it needs to do that.

And it’s not getting easier, by the time the break comes next Saturday it’ll be 10 games in 14 days. Could get ugly.

  15. I’m kinda done with Barron. He’s a good offensive player in the o-zone, but he can’t defend, he’s soft as paper, struggles hard under pressure to get out of the zone and is not even a great puck carrier.

We already have a better version in Laval with Mailloux who is as good if not better offensively and isn’t soft and willing to throw a hit and get into fights.

  16. Usually I’d be mad, but this game reeked of little brother syndrome from the Bruins, it’s just funny. I’m still laughing at the celebration before the game.

We’re rebuilding, losing 2-1 or 10-0, I don’t give a fuck, losing is normal. It’ll just be more fun to laugh at them when they choke again in the playoffs.

  17. What a weird night. Gallagher scored and then they abruptly stopped the game and it finished as a close 5-4 high scoring affair.

We will never know if those plucky habs had a comeback in them.

  18. J’ai de la peine pour Monty il avait l’air d’un homme détruit dans son interview d’après match

  19. Rebuild vs a top tier team, move on. They have played a lot of hockey lately, but they better start working on the defense , young or not.

  20. I’m actually unusually mad at this one. I’d take a loss, but a fucking blowout like this to a rival team. Nah man. I’m fucking toxic right now. One of my other teams is the Jets, so that’s really all I got going on.

  21. This is a game that tells us they’re missing pieces. Pieces that our coaches can maneuver. Pieces that can make a difference. Pieces that can play the game.

Evidently, we’re in a rebuild. Meaning, we need players that are capable of carrying this team.

Not only this game is embarrassing. This game is also a reflection of what Management has to do.

So we’re going to have move on and let our boys get ready vs. Ottawa next Tuesday.

  22. Gallagher. Man oh man. He isn’t making himself look good or doing himself any favours. His contract is looking like one of the worst in recent years.

  23. Guys on this sub who tell me we have what it takes to be a good playoff team (in time) need to give their head a shake. We are missing a top 3 pick, a top 10 pick and an elite FA minimum.

  24. Time to swap Barron and Harris for Mailloux and Arber, can’t be worse and at least it would same much better toughness
