Cavs created a new category, one intended to reflect their defensive dominance.
“Suffocates”.
By definition, three consecutive defensive stops equal one suffocate!

The cavs always get a little over their skis when they are having a good season. Maybe keep this in house that you guys feel you need a new stat for how good you are. Maybe win some playoff games first.
What’s the conversion for suffocates to shutdowns? 5 suffocates = 1 shutdown?
