1. That is such a huge loss… Ugh…

3. Didn’t get to watch… was this a poor performance or one of those you win some you lose some type of game?

4. Probably gonna be back below the playoff line after tonight cause of a fluke goal and one of the most boneheaded passes to no one ever…

5. Puck Luck was not on our side today. However that 3rd period was some great hockey, if only it were not a back to back so we could’ve maybe played like that the entire game.

6. If someone turns up dead in the Lightning locker room tomorrow with a goalie stick buried in their skull I suspect that no one will have seen anything.

7. That’s a really disappointing effort by the team. Kinda unacceptable honestly. Huge 4 point game and they skated through the first two periods like that was an October preseason game. Yeah there was some bad luck, but that was an extremely winnable game especially with the effort Vasy put in. If they end up missing the playoffs, remember this one.

8. Goalie did all he could ofc a useless player on our team did a stupid and cost us the game with that goal also I’m sorry but this team needs to do better on the power play like my god watching them on them on the road with a man advantage is so garbage

   Still, as much as it was a must win for January, it’s still not a real must win. We just need to focus on ourselves, win as much as we can before the break, and then get a nice reset and hopefully some healthy players back. It’s not the end of the world, just focus on the games coming up. Vasy played great tonight, which is a great sign for games coming up, we need him to be back.

10. Ugly loss but it was a back to back, plus Toronto is turning to shit and Detroit has a tougher schedule the next few weeks. I like our hopes to lock down 3rd place into February then we’ll see what happens.

14. As much as it sucks to lose in regulation to a divisional opponent who caught up to us, it was the second half of a B2B and the only thing I would criticise the Lightning for would be playing way too lackadaisical in the first 40 minutes.

    Keeping the opposition to 2 goals like this was an encouraging sign. Every game that Lilleberg and Crozier play, they seem like they develop more intuition and learn more about how to keep playing in the NHL. Perbix and Raddysh seem to have stabilised somewhat on the back end.

    I really wish Sheary did…. something …. instead of being a warm body out there most nights. He had that one nice pass to Merela a few nights ago but if he could find some kind of identity with his linemates, it would really help the depth moving forward. Hopefully TB can start a new winning streak, but that defensive effort cannot slip up against Philly or Arizona, two teams that have been notoriously stingy against the top teams in the League.

15. Well the Bucs lost and the Bolts lost, but at least the Bills lost. That warms my Dolphin fan heart

16. We looked like we spent all day drinking watching the Bucs game. Then we realized Vasy is playing lights out and he deserves better. Could have easily won this game.

17. I swear to God, if Stamkos starts one more game on the first line I’m fucking rioting. You put any other nameplate on his back and this guy goes unclaimed through waivers and down to the AHL.

18. i’m wondering what stamkos’ final line ends up being. i still don’t like stamkos-point-kucherov because i think the best line this team can put together is hagel-point-kucherov. but no other linemates seem to work with stamkos

    Yeah Stammer should probably not be on the 1st line but there are a few important things to appreciate right now:

    1. Vasi can still go God mode. Dare I say, Vasi is back.

    2. It’s January

    3. We are moving in the right direction, at the right time.

20. 2 points on a back to back road trip is about as good as you could ask this team for. Fingers crossed they’ll be rested for a W in Arizona

21. I really wanted them to win this game, but honestly I can’t be mad. I didn’t see any of the lads just roll over and give up like I’ve seen in the past. It looked like they were giving their all the whole time. But I’m just a random guy on the internet, what do I know?
