  1. Makes sense. Both are on expiring contracts, so it’ll be good to get something for them while we still can. It’ll help to get Sheppard and Walker more minutes, too.

  2. Kinda clear that Obi is falling out of favor. Was the 5th man off the bench last night and Jarace is giving us really good minutes. Gotta make space somehow.

  3. Yeah with Walker and Siakam on the roster there is going to be less and less playing time for Obi.

  4. I may be wrong in this, but are they both on expiring deals? If so, I think it’d be good to push for another long-term piece. Like others have said, Jarace has to get minutes to develop eventually.

  5. When Rick mentioned playing 11 men last night and how you cant really play that deep I figured a consolidation trade was on their mind. And that was without Hali playing

  6. Man.. I actually liked having Obi. Know he hasn’t been the best option. But having a little of that high flying, put backs and oops was very fun to watch when going to games this year.

  7. Last week wasn’t the report that Buddy was not on the table during Raptor’s trade discussions? I got the sense maybe he was safe.

Either way it’s possible another trade is imminent however losing both of those guys would absolutely hurt.

What position or need would we be targeting?

  8. I take it we aren’t getting anywhere with negotiations?
Maybe it’s an outdated report though, I probably wouldn’t trade anyone until after we have a practice.

Not sure what the next rotations or positions for everyo e will be

  9. Damn I like obi, even though he clearly has some flaws. Seems like a good dude and team player.

  10. Rick finally made the call … MORE JARACE MINUTES INCOMING

40PT NIGHT FOR JARACE 📌 THIS SHYT!!!

  11. I think it’s a pipe dream, but I’d easily move them for either Austin Reaves or Jerami Grant. But I don’t think that will happen.

And once again, even though I can’t resist, I hate these leakers, we have no way of knowing context and it can negatively impact these players to hear this. I get the sad feeling these leakers are just jerks that can’t keep their mouths shut because they like to make themselves feel important, regardless of the effect on those they mention.

  12. I think Brown and Toppin were likely brought in to create a tradable salary and a somewhat desirable young trade asset. It’s a little disappointing with how they sold the acquisitions as being guys that fit a vision for the team and its play style but it is also an understandable move. I know a lot of fans don’t like Buddy but I do. He’s more a victim of timeline and contract status. I think he will be missed when gone. I have enjoyed the egalitarian run-and-gun Pacers. If they move on from these two especially Buddy I think the team’s identity will change some. I am sure they will still be one of the better passing teams in the league and will push tempo but they are veering towards a more normal pace, not as much spacing, and an offense with more high-usage players having the ball brought to them.

  13. I am fine either way. I love both of them, and we won’t get a lot in return, but our rotation is clogged rn
