December usually is the month where we get the “Vladdy is looking like he’s in shape!” posts. Accompanied by pics of him looking slightly less fat.
January is the month of predictions with high expectations.
February will be him talking about having a different attitude this year and learning from his past mistakes.
Aaaaaand the same thing will happen.
I choose to blindly believe this in an attempt to manifest it into reality. I’m ready to be hurt by Vlad again. But this will be the second last time I will forgive him for sucking. I still think we can change him. But I swear, if he sucks 2-5 more years I’m leaving him for realzies.

When Vladdy was a prospect it looked like he would easily be the best hitter of his generation that could hit for average, power and walk a ton without striking a lot. I think he’s still young enough and has the talent to become that kind of hitter again but I wonder if he would benefit from trading off strikeouts for more power. At times it looks like he’s trying to crush every pitch and doesn’t punish meatballs and mistakes as much as someone as good as him should.
I am ready to be hurt by him once again. Let’s do this
Think back to a decade ago vs were we are now. Enjoy the ride and let’s hope luck goes our way in October.
Genuinely wanna see his equivalent projection from last year. Was it better than this or worse?
