I, personally, love the change. Going back to the old look/one used for the Field of Dreams game.
Any time I read, “Yankees Making Changes…” I get nervous. Especially when it comes to the uni’s. This one is good though, even more trad. NEVER CITY CONNECT!

It’s a small change but really significant. Especially since they’ve been the same for over 50 years. But I like it!
I’m a little conflicted. I’ve always loved the white trim, but I really like this look too. In the age of superfluous alternates, I wish they could exist in the same space instead of stupid city connect jerseys (which thankfully it does sound like we won’t do at least for now)
I noticed in 2016 when they changed the helmet texture but I had no idea they changed the spacing of the “New York.” Never would have noticed that
Now they need to make them 100% cotton, because cotton breathes better.
The best thing about this…the old ones will be discounted!!
This should make that insurance patch really pop!

Don’t know why some people done want a city connect jersey. I also would like to see the all black unis back. Change it up, sometimes change is good. Sounds like a lot of boomers don’t want change, reminds me of Cashman.
Interesting to see that the change is similar to what happened with the Mets’ Alt Black jerseys. My concern is that Nike is so cheap that they think having the white shadow is too expensive and are cutting it.
They’ve worn the jerseys with the white outlines on the script for 50 years, so it’ll be hard to let them go, but man these old school jerseys look clean. I’ll miss the blue stripes on the edges of the sleeves.
This is good cause when they’ve done the inverted road jersey (navy with white/gray letters), the white and gray have too little contrast and make the lettering look bloated.
