I’m going to miss him but we acquired him about 8 years too late. We ended up with Abuelo Lowry but he was a leader and did what he could. I respect it but the future is now old man!! SCARY TERRY TIME!!
The idea was great at the time when we signed him. Unfortunately it didn’t work out because he’s too old. And his first season here he was hit with personal issues and injuries in the playoffs.
Thank you Kyle, but I’m surely not gonna miss your 30M salary and your PJ Tucker statline. Good luck.
I’ll never forget the Kyle Lowry + bench mob games 🥹
I think Kyle’s voice will be missed on the court and bench. No one can deny that he wasn’t 30mil of production, but he was definitely 30mil of teammate. He was Jovic’s brain on defensive rotations, constantly telling him where to go. A lot of Bam’s scoring aggression today comes from Lowry giving him the ball and telling him to go get it. Gabe learned a lot from Kyle.
It was always going to end this way. 37 year old players don’t usually make 30 mil for a reason. I wouldn’t have been surprised if at the contract negotiation it would have been understood that the last year would be a likely expiring offload year.
