Jarrett Allen, Donovan Mitchell Added to 2024 USA Men’s National Team Player Pool

I’m always a bit skeptical on wanting Cavs players to participate. The offseason is so important for staying healthy, but the experience of playing always seems to take players up a level with their game.
Mitchell is probably the better player overall, but JA would be so amazing on team USA. They have no good centers or really anybody that can do what he does to anchor a defense and rebounding.
Hopefully they can get better coaching this time around than Kerr, who really seemed to struggle with international ball.
I was so mad when JA turned it down last year. This is how players make leaps. Look at Ant this year.
They were desperate for a guy like JA last season. I also think Allen would be fine with a minor role on the team, since some players probably won’t go unless they have guaranteed playing time. The question is, if AD Embiid and Bam go, do they want to use another roster spot on a big
Mitchell has a good chance but there’s so many guards, i wouldn’t be surprised if he isn’t on the roster
