  1. So we see why Vrabel left. Hearing the non answers sucked at the time but now it makes more sense.

  2. Honestly think this is an excellent move for the franchise – it’s great to know that we are trying to modernize as much as possible. I think Ran will be an extraordinary
GM with full power. Honestly the only bad FAs were Dillard and Wesco and Jim Wyatt confirmed in his Saturday mailbag a week ago that Dillard was a Vrabel move. Wouldn’t be surprised if Wesco was the same. Hopefully we can get some more good players this off season.

  3. Honestly a masterclass by Amy. Recognized dysfunction within the organization and took immediate steps to fix it.

  4. Is it weird that “salary cap management” is not overseen by the GM? If the GM handles player acquisitions and roster management, why is he not overseeing the salary cap issues that are tied in with that? That just seems like a weird distinction there. Do other teams operate this way?

  5. The only question I have is about Brinker being in charge of analytics. I guess that that plays into salary cap questions, but it’s also really important to almost everything that falls under Carthon’s responsibility.

  6. I would have assumed salary cap management would fall under the GM. But I guess this is a way to make sure that there are multiple perspectives on salary cap management without it solely going through GM?

In any case, I like it.

  7. Surely the head coach helps with roster stuff right?? Or Atleast the Gm consults him about it. I can’t imagine being a coach and having a scheme and my boss brings in some mf that I simply don’t wanna use or thinks fits what I got going on. That’s not a thing is it?

  8. I’m guessing Ran has control over the staff, because Callahan is just going to focus on offense and they will bring in a defensive HC as his coordinator. The collaboration makes sense with this structure. Everyone has to be communicating at all times for decisions to be made, but there is a clear structure of who makes the decisions and who has ownership of what.

  9. Please do change something in the sports medicine department that will have us not being so damn injured every year.

  10. So does this mean Callahan picks his own staff but Ran controls when they’re fired? Or does this mean Ran picks Callahans staff

  11. I’m wondering if this new structure was the actual reason for the delay in announcing Callahan? Once they had their guy they then ironed out who was doing what and then announced it all together.

  12. Should’ve been marked NSFW.. Honestly this makes me so hopeful for the future.

I mean, I’m 31, where am I going at this point lol But *still*

  13. I’m just glad we don’t have Vrabel’s landscaper as sports medicine manager anymore.

Call me crazy, but I’m glad someone else is managing it.
