  1. They say they’re going to do a search in the offseason but there’s no way it wasn’t going to be either Brian Keefe or David Vanterpool. It pretty much felt like they were both planted there for this very moment

  2. Hoop District dug up a quote from Warriors-Era KD about Keefe, and wow: https://twitter.com/WillCIayton/status/1750546223105187981

    Excerpt:

    >Strong words from KD on Wizards interim HC Brian Keefe:

    >“He wouldn’t take any credit for it, but he taught me everything I know.”

    >“He’s easily one of the most influential guys that I know in this business, in this game, and in life… I got nothing but love and respect for BK”

  3. Bittersweet. I think a lot of us really hoped he was going to do well after being a great assistant with the Nuggets. I hope he can have a greater impact in the FO and do what he can to turn this franchise around. Better things are coming boys, better things are coming

  4. We’re deep in a hole and need to be committed to the rebuild. This sounds like a good thing. I hope the Wizards don’t rush any major decisions finding a coach and really try hard to find someone who can really lead a team towards the top of the league. There’s plenty of time for them to figure it out.

  5. > Keefe started his career in professional basketball at the San Antonio Spurs where he served as video coordinator under head coach Gregg Popovich and won a ring as part of the Spur’s 2007 championship in his second season.

    We found our Spoelstra!

  6. We finally get a “developmental” coach.

I’m really hoping he pans out and squeezes out some talent from our young players.

Don’t really care about loses for the next 3 years.
