  2. The Dude called this one. Though it is significantly more money than I thought it’d be, it’s still a good signing. He’s the stable veteran this bullpen lost in Will Smith. Way better than Neris.

    EDIT: if 38 year-old middle relievers like Chapman and Robertson are getting $11M, Monty will likely cost $27-30M

  4. He’s been great over the past two years and def would have gotten multiple years if he were a few years younger. Chris Martin got a two-year deal last winter at age 36. I think that Buck used him greatly last season and that was def a reason why he stayed healthy and effective. There’s no reason to think that Bochy won’t be able to do the same
