> Right-handed reliever David Robertson and the Texas Rangers are in agreement on a one-year contract in the $11-12 million range, pending physical, sources tell ESPN. The World Series champs bulk up their bullpen with the veteran closer who has 175 career saves.
Rangers clubhouse staff about lose their playoff share.
He’s becoming an Immaculate grid king
Reliever market has been hot lately. Neris, Stanek, Fuji, Peralta the only notable ones left? Just what I can think of off the top of my head
40 years old btw,
Not a diss, commending him for garnering that wage at his age
Good for DRob. One of the better relievers of the past 30 years.
It’s a good fit for him and he won’t have to worry about being traded midseason.
As much as I loved him on the Mets, I didn’t want him back due to age and his second half fall off. Not to mention that the Mets need more gas in their bullpen
Regardless, he’s easier to root for on the Rangers than Chapman’s garbage ass.
Relievers are pricy this year. Good gravy.

We are now over CBT. Does this mean, we are willing to spend? Or just focusing on smaller deals. Interesting.
Would have preferred Matt Moore, who was cheaper
Old Met to Texas Ranger pipeline goes strong
Texas Mets
Texas Rangers fans: “Can we sign a pitcher who was on the Yankees in 2017/18 and has the same last name as a county in Southeast Texas?”
Chris Young: “Sounds great! David Robertson will definitely be a great addition to our bullpen.”
Rangers fans: “No wait.”
Gonna need to see an exact figure before I declare this a huge bargain or massive overpay.
Left the Phillies the first time after basically being dead weight and injured, came back and pitched well then got weirdly injured, owned them in NY, got owned by them in Miami. Baseball is weird.
Meanwhile, some Angel fans are upset for spending $9-10 mil each on Moore & Stephenson
