Exactly…I don’t want to go through this revolving door anymore. Get it right when we have a high pick in a year or two.
Jaxson Dart is a quarterback name if I’ve ever heard one.
fwiw I would be totally fine with us not addressing the QB position in the draft until 2026, or whenever Arch Manning declares.
I know a lot of people here say “tanking” fosters a losing culture, and to those people I respond, “that’s not my point and I don’t intend to engage with that discourse here, I just want a good OL, a sick pass rush, and a generational QB (and bonus points cuz he’s basically a legacy Bronco) and then if I’m being greedy like 3 dynamic, reliable playmakers, idc if they’re WRs, TEs or RBs, that’s it.”
And then they’ll say “this isn’t Madden that’s not how it works” and then again I will respond “well why the fuck is it working that way for Baltimore and San Francisco?”
I don’t really see how anyone on this list is better than someone like Penix/Nix.
Beck and Ewers looked good this season, but a small sample size. I like Sanders as a CU fan, but I wouldn’t touch him/Gabriel/Milroe with a 10-foot pole as a first round pick.
Honestly I’d love someone like Daniels or Rising as a 3rd/4th round pick
I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but yesterday Woody Paige wrote what I have been thinking since the season ended. The Broncos would be wise to trade back in the 1st round, draft Bo Nix later, and recoup a 2nd rounder they currently do not have.
It depends who is on the board when we’re picking.
If Jayden Daniels, Bo Nix, or Michael Penix are there in the 1st for us then I’d be happy with one of them.
If Jordan Travis is there in the 3rd then he’s worth a flyer.
Otherwise that list does not look as amazing to me as it does to you.
I say eat the entire dead cap money on Russ….cut and restructure everyone on a big contract. Accumulate picks going into next year. Start Stidham in 2024. Earn a 4-13 record. Draft top 3 in 2025, cap is reset and Boom!
Hate me all you want but Sanders looks legit. Reminds me a lot of Lamar Jackson
