I think you start the season with DJ, but I do really like the idea of Verdugo leading off against righties. He was at his best in Boston when he led off.

He draws walks and doesn’t strike out a ton. I think he’d be best suited with Soto and Judge in front of him.

It’s so wrong not to at least CONSIDER Soto at leadoff. You know, the guy who gets on base more than any other player?!

Gleyber. Really hoping DJ is healthy, dude was lethal with RISP not too long ago. Having Gleyber, Soto, judge, Rizzo, Stanton in front of a healthy DJ to drive them in would be nice.

Who would you pick to drive in runners? I rather have DJ and Gleyber with men on base. Verdugo at lead-off.
Going with Gley
I might actually go with Verdugo. He’s got slightly higher career OBP than Gleyber, while Gleyber has slightly higher SLG. Gleyber steals more often but Verdugo has 2x the sprint speed as per Baseball Savant.
