Love the transparency. Wish they’d do this more.
“If Mike Tomlin and Sean McVay are raving about Raheem as a head coach … maybe let that outweigh what Joe on X/Twitter or Fred on sports radio thinks?”
I find it insane that Jewkes (who is basically a spokesperson for the team) said this. I think a 21-38 career record as a HC is more than enough of a sample size for Joe on X or Fred on Sports Radio to be critical.
But whatever. Keep tweeting threads to justify the hire and imply that the fan base knows nothing.
This was such a cool read.
That transparency is much appreciated. Sounds like someone from AMBSE woke up and realized doing all of this while keeping fans in the dark about structure and processes of the franchise can piss a lot of people off. Hopefully there’s more transparency like this going forward.

You have to at least say this… if they were super impressed with Slowik, Macdonald, and others, and still went with Raheem, I have to believe he had the best pitch/plan. Of course there could be some politics behind the scenes, but if we don’t know that, we should judge what we see ourselves. If Morris straight up beat out the other guys for having the best gameplan, so be it.
The time for judging him on his past is over for me, and time to back him up. He should only be judged now for what he does in the next seasons.
