This also really just shows more deeply how Nurse lost the team and should have been fired a 1-3 years ago. But now we have FRPs so we are golden. Title next year bois!

Nick was clearly a good coach but clearly rubbed guys the wrong way.
If you listen to the Group Chat podcast, it sounds like Wos is very much speculating this as opposed to reporting it. He said all the west African guys are buddies so he would have heard not so great things from the Raptors guys because of the way Nurse’s tenure in Toronto ended.
But apparently Siakam is signing there this summer
Not surprising at all. It was clear a lot of the players didn’t vibe with Nick, maybe Fred being the lone exception.
This doesn’t mean pascal or OG said anything negative. They may have just told the truth – “we play 40mpg and our knees are turning to dust”

This is so weird to me. If this is actually true then Giannis and the Bucks just aren’t serious about winning a championship.
The coach isn’t hired to be your friend and bring good vibes. He’s hired to be your leader/strategist to help you win a fking championship. It’s pretty clear that the Bucks weren’t even sure about the Griffin hiring themselves since they put Stotts in AG’s staff and later had Doc as a consultant. What organization does that lmao why not just have Stotts or Doc coach from the get go?
Giannis himself should know how much Nick Nurse impacts the game after losing a 2-0 lead against the Raptors on 2019. He himself should know that Nick was the best coach on the market and one of the few coaches that has the ability to get him another ring after two straight disappointing playoff appearances.
One thing I respect about Embiid is that he obviously cares about winning. He and Nick clearly didn’t like each other but he was able to put his ego aside for the sake of winning a championship. As a result of that they’re flourishing despite losing James Harden for pretty much nothing.
