Saw the post about Tapia, and remembered him being quick, especially given the inside-the-park HR. Thought I’d check out his sprint speed along with other recent/current Jays (582 players total, league average is 27 ft/s):
77th – Whit Merrifield (28.8 ft/s)
85th – Kevin Kiermaier (28.8 ft/s)
116th – Raimel Tapia (28.6 ft/s)
128th – Matt Chapman (28.5 ft/s)
131st – Ernie Clement (28.4 ft/s)
572nd – Alejandro Kirk (23.6 ft/s)
576th – Rowdy Tellez (23.4 ft/s)
Have to admit I was surprised by Chapman.

Chapman is sneaky fast, what I find more surprising is how bad we are as a base running team and how slow Bichette and Espinal are.
