This movie centers around a fictional Nets point guard (back in the NJ days) who falls in love with Queen Latifah, who is a diehard Nets fan. It features a bunch of cameos from star NBA players from around 2010 and it’s fairly funny. I think this is a good movie to watch with any romantic partners who may not be into the Nets/basketball but are into rom-coms, as sort of a compromise (or an introduction to basketball fandom). It’s on HBO Max. Has anyone watched this film, and does anyone have any thoughts on it?
I think it’s hilarious that the Nets are shown to have a homegrown star PG who played for a decade with the team and wants to resign. It’s a true fantasy film in that regard.
