  1. A year ahead of schedule baby. Hopefully next year we get some solid FA help at CB and maybe O-line depth and see you in the SB next year

  2. They proved they were one of the big boys in the league this year. Next year they will be better.

  3. “mission failed, we’ll get em next time.”

No but seriously, this was an amazing year for the Lions. I never thought I’d see them one game away from the Superbowl. Hopefully next year we’ll make it all the way!

  4. Exceeded expectations this year, and honestly I can’t see how we wouldn’t win the super bowl next year.

  5. One of the best seasons in our history of the Super Bowl Era, it’s a tough loss absolutely but this season is still a win. It hurts but we made it here and that’s huge for this organization and this city.

Even if we don’t have as much success the team flat out will be better next season, aren’t losing anyone and we had a CB2 playing CB1 and a practice squad guy as CB2. Once we address corner D-line through the draft and offseason this team has no reason to not be absurd.

  6. Amen! Born and die a lions fan! Proud of these guys. Awesome season, can’t wait til next year

  7. What a glorious season. This team has the best leadership it has ever seen in the SB era with Sheila Hamp, Brad Holmes, and Dan Campbell. Stay tuned for more rock solid Lions football, folks. **ROAR**

  8. Fantastic season overall. It’s always going to be heartbreaking when it is so close. Look on the bright sides, this team is young and full of heart and we have a good salary cap for next year, and with how rocking Ford Field was I bet free agents want to apart of it!

  9. Dan Campbell’s pride and ego cost the Lions a once in a lifetime chance of a Super Bowl. Up 14 you kick the fg to make it 3 possessions at the end of the 3rd. All momentum shifted after failing going for it and coincidentally he went for it again when he could make up for his mistake and tie the game proving no doubt he coaches for the glory only. Wolf in sheep’s clothing he’s not the guy people think.

  10. I’ve never been into football until this year. It was such an exciting year, especially tonight! you can’t take our grit away from us! We are contenders now!

  11. I’m proud of this team. My wife is like vomiting in the corner and my bud from Chicago is flipping out about how aggressive our calls were …. But I’m content. Obviously I wanted to see a win, and this was a heart breaking end… but that’s the way the cookie crumbles. In the grand scheme, we are the best team we have been in ages and just like the way I felt after beating GB at the end of last season, I’m hopeful for the future and excited for our team.

  12. Im too traumatized from the past to shake the thoughts of Glenn and Johnson leaving and being unable to replace them with competent coordinators. Someone tell me it’s going to be okay

  13. it’s one thing to be proud but windows close quickly and losing because a boneheaded decision to call a timeout after running the ball at 3rd and two is wild

  14. There’s absolutely nothing to be proud of, we had a chance to go to the SB and we fucking blew it. Do you know how hard it is to reach the NFC championship? All of you saying oh we’ll be back like it’s nothing have no clue. We blew our only chance, fuck Dan Campbell

  15. 9er faithful here

love you mitten boys, classy as hell

I spent time in the midwest for undergrad and have friends from Michigan

take care of our bay area native Goff

    Jahmyr is a fucking stud

    Amon-Ra is a fucking stud

    Campbell is the man

  16. As a 49ers fan, I’m glad we got past you guys this year. Clearly wasn’t easy.

I hope we have home field again next year, because otherwise…

  17. As a niners fan, I’m jealous of your fan base. I truly hope people recognize wild stuff happens when you are this ahead of schedule as a team, and rather than allowing the click-hungry national media to define the Lions by this, the team should be defined by being so hungry and aggressive that you made our entire fan base shit our pants. Like, ok, a random pass bounced off a guy’s helmet. Haters will make memes about that, but it’s just punctuation on an incredible run. i wish the Lions all the success in the world.

  18. First off I’m glad that I get to share this with all my Honolulu Blue brothers in this HISTORIC achievement. We fought and unfortunately this is how it goes sometimes. But I’m so proud of the effort the boys put it and this fan base. You’re all Aces in my book boys, time to achieve better things NEXT YEAR! LFG and as always FTP!

  19. I haven’t cared about football in a long time, however regardless of any mistakes. Watching this game got me back into it and I plan on watching next season.
