Joe Mazzulla on the Celtics shooting a season-best against the Heat on offense vs. a season-low tonight against the Clippers:

“I think those can be gifts when you look at them properly… It keeps you balanced… You’re never as bad as you think you are, and you’re never as good as you think you are.”

  1. It would be nice if our coach had ideas about what the actual problem was, rather than just shrugging his shoulders.

  2. This team isn’t as dominant as the 2008 team, and for a minute they looked like they could be that good. But they are protecting their health, and keeping their record solid. They can have a few skids. It’s okay, and it may help identify areas to improve. But don’t hit the doom button right now. This is still a good team, and we won’t know what they are capable of until the playoffs. The playoffs are an absolute gauntlet in the East. Take the long road.
