Elf and Theo on Randle’s “We Here” Season: “another level bro…Some of the stuff he was doing…His work ethic crazy…I know he be getting flak…but like, he work son” Theo: “…I remember…we look at him like…’MF takin over the league . Every time he did that baseline fade…cash”
Other than the players fresh off getting cooked by him the rest of the players always show love & respect, leave it to the casuals and nephews to come up with them wild takes
That season was great but I think Randle this year is playing towards his strengths more

I like to hear this stuff about Randle, should quiet the haters in thinking he is lazy.
That year was FUN imho, we a fucked up roster but made noise. One of my favorite seasons because it helped turn us into a relative team after years of darkness.
This is the reason why Kobe respected Randle. That dude is a workhorse and does whatever it takes to evolve his game.
His first All-NBA season is special to me because it highlights how in a post-bubble/COVID year, he stayed ready. Leading the league in mins played (2667!) while only playing 71 games is impressive af.
He’s the reason we broke our playoff curse. MSG looked amazing again.
We don’t appreciate Elf enough
Obviously Brunson was our stud. But Elf was really solid defensively and setting the floor.
He couldn’t shoot and wouldn’t have a role in today’s NBA, he was already being aged out then, but arguably one of the best guards we had since Marbury, which isn’t saying a lot but it’s kinda true.
That Baseline Fadeaway was his go to that year on some crazy shit lmao i love they mentioned that
That baseline fade is money. Every time I see him shoot it my initial reaction was always WTF because it looks like a crazy high effort unnecessary shot. But it’s almost always a swish.
Randle has crazy off-court work ethic, he comes in after every offseason looking absolutely shredded and in shape
Lmao that’s facts, I would rather have Julius shoot a contested fade away 3 then an open one. He tends to be money on those.

I’ll always have love for Julius. He was the foundation that started it all. We’ve upgraded at everywhere else now because we had him holding it down.
As a Randle hater this season has completely turned me around

I’m what you’d call a Randle hater, I hope every season he gets shipped out. But his work ethic and his camaraderie with his teammates is unmatched.
