[Victor of course, wins rookie of the week, 4 weeks in a row.](https://twitter.com/jahlilwill/status/1752774581419413550?s=46) This time this happened in this race. So it appears fairly inevitable he wins his first rookie of the month.
To think Wemby felt slighted about last month then said “every game is a statement from now on,” and then goes and stand on business this entire month while being a minutes restriction for the entire month is absolutely ridiculous.
Vassell did an interview recently he feels like [Victor will prove a point](https://twitter.com/hectorledesmatv/status/1752746204130050384?s=46), if he doesn’t make the all star team.
Victor’s mentality will be revered for years to come:
This makes it four weeks in a row at number one on the NBA Rookie Ladder for Victor Wembanyama. He's the first one to reach four straight.
It's hard to imagine it getting any closer as Vic gets his minutes increased. He'll be the runaway favorite soon, if he's not already. pic.twitter.com/avZodqTOPy

JJ Redick mentioned he’d be posting a new video on ROY later this week so it’ll be interesting to see if he’s changed his pick or not.
Vic’s mentality cannot be ignored when discussing all of the qualities that make him a potential future GOAT. His confidence, self-awareness, and his resolution in the face of adversity is remarkable for his age.
Still pinching myself that he’s a damn Spur.
Counter-argument to the “mentality” conversation. If he is only motivated by perceived disrespect, is that a strong mentality? It’s certainly been effective with Jordan, Shaq, etc, but requiring outward input to be mentally focused seems less good than just being focused on being great.
To be clear, my personal opinion is that Wemby is inwardly focused on being great far more than motivated peoples opinions, but his comments on “statement games” was interesting.
Also, psycho-analyzing people we don’t know based on games + interviews is always fun.
