We are a much better team with a much better QB, we didn’t have Aiyuk or CMC in that game, so people who argue we have the same weapons now as we did then are just wrong. We have to minimize Kelce on defense, he is their biggest game changer, and get pressure on Mahomes, neither of those will be easy. On Offense we cannot have a slow start, we cannot do what we did with the Packers or Lions in this game. We have to either get a solid lead, or at least keep it tight in the 1rst half.

Not comparing Brock to Brady but this game feels like the 2001 Superbowl where no one thought the Patriots could defeat the Greatest Show on Turf Rams. The Chiefs are a great team, but I think we match up with them well. As an almost 52yr old lifelong Niners fan, we need to win this game, I don’t need to get blue balled again.

What bothers me is there defense is better then it was in 2019, by alot. If our at times shitty defense gives up too many points to Patrick early, they might have the players to stop us on offense and all of sudden weāre down 14 and canāt come back. Yeah yeah, weāve came back the last two games, but this is #15 weāre playing. We have to score on there defense, because I donāt trust ours.
They have the most penalized O line in the league. Now, if the refs actually make the calls or decide to **HOLD** their whistles, that’s a different story altogether.
Run D is a problem. No pressure on the QB either allowing him to get on the move and create plays. I also worry that 9er games can get kinda chippy and the flags will be flying, refs wonāt swallow the whistles this time.

Iām actually most concerned about Chris Jones vs our interior Oline. Not only can he get home on Brock even if heās double teamed, but he can bat down passesā¦ i get PTSD just thinking about tipped/ blocked passes in the Ravens game.
McKivitz did well against Hutchinson, but Karlaftis is another matchup weāll need to keep an eye on.
I expect Spagnuolo to load the box to force Brock to beat them in the air. This also allows more defenders to stay close to LOS and disguise his blitzes. Thankfully Brock is great against pressure.
