I remember Sweat was a pretty unanimous first round pick during the college season. Any idea why he’s getting mocked to day two so much?
What’s the obsession with Sainristil (outside of the obvious UofM homerism), doesn’t he basically play the same position as Branch?
We’re already set at nickel, we already have a QB, we’re ok at defensive tackle, don’t need a slot WR or another running back.
Unfortunately due to lack of position need I don’t see us taking any Michigan players in the first 3 rounds.
It’s possible any of the 7-10 wolverines likely to go on day 3 end up with the lions though, you never know, but I have a suspicious feeling the Chargers and Seahawks might wind up taking a few each.
Mock drafts for this team are pointless I found, not because of the people that do them, but because we’ve been shown that Holmes goes off of his board and not the consensus, so we’re really at a loss as to what will happen.
I think mods need to sticky a thread where everyone can post their mock drafts.
I’d rather get a corner in FA and take an edge in Rd 1. All things being equal obviously.

I kinda hate to take precious pick away from our depleted defense, but if there are any good centers when our turn is up, we need to grab one. Get an understudy for Ragnow.

I don’t really care. I think Brad Holmes and the scouting staff have shown that they should be blindly trusted until proven otherwise. They get the players, Dan and the rest of the staff coach them up, they perform admirably.
I think where we could use a little more work and be a little better is in Free Agency. I would like to see a splash signing at DE like Josh Allen or someone of that sort. Because we aren’t drafting in the top 10 at any point in the near future and it’s very unlikely to get an impact EDGE later on in the draft.
Damn Sainristil in the 3rd round would be an absolute steal, kid makes big plays in big games, has star written all over him.

Praying Quinyon falls to us… but after the Senior Bowl I would kinda be surprised if he made it to us. Would be an absolute blessing for sure, his ball/athletic skills are insane. Especially for a MAC school
