Yea, I’d have to agree. Nostalgic is a good word to describe it.
Hearing this meant it was Saturday night and I got to watch my team play.
No worries in life, just a kid happy to be watching his team on a Saturday night

Controversial opinion, but I like it a lot more than the OG.
Shoot out the lights was the best one
Much prefer the original (before TSN poached it), but this is a good runner up.
The original is better.
But Shoot Out The Lights which they used from the pre-game Hockey Tonight is the absolute crème of the crop!

Amazing how something I grew up watching has become so bad.
I always really liked it. Replacing the original was an absolutely impossible task, it was always going to sound jarring to some degree.

The first time I ever heard this song, and learned that it was going to win to be the new song. All I could think of is Smurfs going into battle. And I can never unthink that thought.

I loved it. It was such a mistake to retire it, the Sportsnet theme is one of the dullest sports themes I’ve ever heard and offers no excitement for the start of HNIC.
This song is as bad as hockey is in Arizona without an arena. Everyone in that video played hockey during the original HNIC theme song era except maybe Crosby and Ovechkin. CBC the Tradition Discontinues.

Awesome cause it has Lidstrom w/ the cup and Yzerman double OT goal. This was my personal favorite but I didn’t grow up in Canada, only got CBC because I live in Michigan.
