I will not act like I know about anyone the Brewers got in return (outside of the digging I did post trade).
But this article with multiple execs from both leagues say fair trade for both teams. One even states “playoff teams paying premium prices for playoff pitching”.
We are grieving a very good nucleus of brewers baseball and I understand both sides of the spectrum. However, we may be building a new nucleus.

I had heard the team was planning on going all in on Chourio. With him secured via long term contract it sure seems they’re building up to go on a run when he peaks. At this point Peralta and Hoskins are a bridge to keep us competitive until he gets there.
