Hopefully they sort this out before the playoffs. It seems like part of it is Ant and Kat resorting to isolations at the end, and part is due to the lineups. Ant usually plays most of the 1st and 3rd quarter, and rests half of the 2nd and 4th. Opposing teams go on a run for a few minutes, because the bench unit lacks perimeter scoring. Then Ant comes back in, and sometimes forces shots trying to play hero ball.
Did you filter garbage time out of the 4Q data here? Feels like that would really muddy things up if not.

Not that this is completely indicative of Finch but my mind keeps going back to the Memphis series where they blew like three 20+ point leads in the playoffs.
To my eye the high risk high reward nature of Finches “flow” offense is far too volatile and flat out ineffective when the defense is scouting and going their hardest at the end of games. When it goes right and there’s great ball movement and Finch looks like a genius obviously, but it’s no where near consistent enough. A lot of time when they pull through in the 4th it requires more than a few 3’s and contested iso pull ups to go their way, even against bad teams.
I’d take the lower upside nature of set plays and pick n roll in the 4th any day. Finch seems like the guy in poker that seems like a beast, mixing in bluffs and aggressive lines successfully, only to get his hand caught in the cookie jar and lose his stack on a hand he should’ve folded pre.
Who’s the worse than us in the fourth quarter?
This teams offense is bad without Ant on the floor. He subs off being of both our worst quarters. Team is missing 1 more bucket getter. Naz has off nights (like last night) and when he does the offense is so reliant on Kat/Ant
I don’t think we need this stat to show us this.
This team is fucked come playoff time if they keep closing like this in the 4th quarter. Something needs to change

We get too in our feels sometimes on the court dawg it’s apparent. Sucks cuz when guys like KAT and Ant DO brush stuff off, the vibe of the team seems generally very positive and in turn they perform way better. Just gotta get out of their heads and tbh I think Ant may be becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy or whatever with his refs cheatin quote, much as I loved him being outspoken about it. He just needs to ball.
