  1. What a get for Seattle. Santos is nasty and was on the top of my offseason wishlist for my team. He’ll be awesome in the back end of that pen

  2. I hadn’t heard of him until this moment and now I’m disappointed the Yankees didn’t trade for him.

  3. Santos seems like he may be the 3rd right behind Brash and Munoz.

Solid young reliever with a nice upside.

  4. Update.

This offseason, the Mariners have so far made a player trade with 10 of the other 29 teams (34.48%) – [Pirates](https://www.mlb.com/player/cody-bolton-675989), Rays, [Cardinals](https://www.mlb.com/player/riley-o-brien-676617), Red Sox, Diamondbacks, Braves, Giants, Twins, Royals, and now White Sox.

An 11th team, Angels, has received another M’s player that started this offseason on the M’s 40-man roster with Evan White via a downstream trade with the Braves.

  5. Santos is a pretty damn good pitcher. Bummed to lose him, but it makes sense to flip him for assets if we’re not competing next season. Definitely a sell high trade.

  6. Really great to add another high leverage arm to Muñoz and Brash. That’s gotta be one of the better trios in the league.

  7. I was told our roster was set after we traded away Geno and Kelenic but Jerry and Justin just keep going lol

  8. Chicago got Santos from the Giants so this is really just another entry in the storied Mariners-Giants trade pipeline with an extra step involved.

  9. Honestly love this trade for both sides but more for the White Sox. Nothing crazy but some solid pieces and another picks slot value to help with drafting.

Santos is very good but honestly the Mariners shit out great relievers that somehow disappear after a year so I never thought they would really need to trade for a reliever. Santos won’t be disappearing anytime soon though dudes filthy
