  1. You should also point that he had a better season than Rodgers did his first year starting in literally every statistical category almost and had a much better record with a worse team.

  2. I hate youtube comment sections because you can’t downvote a bad opinion. People never pay the price for their horrible opinions.

  3. I’m still cautious on hyping up love. I think he can be very good but I want to see more.

  4. lol he was top 5 in every efficiency metric you can think of since week 9, including playoffs

  5. I don’t see the point of arguing this. He had a great season far exceeding expectations but still has alot to learn. If you want to crown his ass then crown his ass but my preference is to slow-play this and let the kid grow into his own with as minimal hype and expectations as possible.

  6. I don’t understand the skepticism towards Love!? He’s had a better start the ANY of our previous QB’s! Was it this bad for Favre or Rodgers? IDTS, but also IDR.

  7. As a packer fan I share the same sentiment. Let’s be real Love was great for half the season but only pretty good the other half.

I mean you can clearly see the progression – the arm mechanics, footwork, and precision are all there so it gives me hope especially with this scheme, a young offense, and a good coach that the future is very bright!!

But let’s let the kid get his own apartment first and then we can talk about giving him the keys to the city maybe lol

  8. Week 1 next year – “Is Love poised for a sophomore slump?!”

Personally speaking, I’m amped to see what he can do with his receiving core in back to back years. It’s remarkable to see not only Love emerge as a top 1/3 qb in his first year as a starter, but also to see him have 50% of his yardage amassed by rookie receivers and TEs.

  9. -when every qb threw the ball more than him has more yards than him……. Color me shocked at this logic

  10. I didn’t realize you win games based on the efficiency in which you played. Always thought it was by quantity of points

  11. You can’t argue love being good based on stats his stats were good but not insane you have to watch him play. alls I know is I saw him make elite plays. that doesn’t mean he is elite or ever will be but he is capable of it and that’s good enough for me.

  12. At a minimum he’s going to be good. Probably better than any other QB in the division. He has it. The people in the league see it. Coaches see it. The greats see it. Don’t give a damn about a random Reddit person saying otherwise honestly.

  13. Even by the guy in the picture’s metrics he’s still a top half starting QB which is pretty good

  14. Pass yards is a stupid stat to base someone’s performance off of. They are empty calories. Example dak prescott had a ton of passing yards in the wild card game. Damn near most of those yards came when the game was already out of reach and defense softened up. Its such a misleading stat

  15. 13th in yards per attempt out of 32 QB positions in the NFL isn’t exactly terrible.

  16. With an aggressive DC Love is going to have a lot more drives to improve the quantitative stats.

  17. as far as i’m concerned, he’s our fuckin guy. i ride or die with love. i think a lot of you are forgetting that we could be fans of a team like the bears, who have been in QB hell my entire life while we’ve been in QB heaven. is love going to be as good as rodgers or favre? time will tell. but if he plays like he played this year, i really like our odds at getting at least one in the love window. he’s got an X factor

  18. I can’t say he is the guy, and I do agree it’s too early to say he’s the next HOF QB, but the future looks bright. He got better over the season, which is what I was hoping for. He will have guys with more experience to throw to, he will probably have a more stable OL, which is great, and he will hopefully clean up his accuracy issues he’s had from time to time. So is he the next coming, too early to say, but it’s also too early to say he won’t be good, when things are trending the other direction.

  19. Nothing from this season has really changed my long term outlook. I thought Love had a lot of potential when they drafted him, I thought they would do a good job and he would put in the work, and he and the team had the sort of season I expected them to have, just with more success than I anticipated. By that I mean, I thought they would come out the gate hot, hit some struggles and then we’d see improvement, just not the kind of improvement that gets you a playoff win. I’m not yet ready as fan to just say “hey, we found our guy, suck it everyone else” or “hell yeah, third hall of famer in a row”, but I am ready to say “we got a good QB and I hope he keeps improving and growing so that next year is another awesome year”

  20. I have been cautiously optimistic all season about him. In the early season struggles, I knew it would pass. When he popped off in the second half of the season, I tried to stay on planet earth with my expectations. But man, the way he dismantled that talent filled cowboys defense has me excited for the future.

  21. As far as attempts go. We didn’t have a running game this season until jones came back. Leaving a first year starter to lead an offense against defenses playing the pass.

Which is even more impressive how well he did

  22. Next season tells us a lot. If this is who he is, the tape is out and he’ll struggle next season. If he’s still growing, he’s gonna be really good.

  23. Love has some shit to work on. Anybody that can’t see it has to be blinded by their love for the organization. I respect the passion but I’m glad those people aren’t involved in the decision making. If he is one of 32 people on the planet to start that position in the NFL then he needs to be able to throw the ball better. I’ve never seen a quarterback develop the way he has. It’s almost backwards. The baseline expectation for him would be that he is a good thrower and I’m not even sure id consider him average in that department. On the other hand the composure, game management and ability to break down defenses are areas where we normally need to be patient. However he really grew a lot in those areas over the season and I found it really impressive.
SIDE NOTE: we need to make Statistics mandatory to teach. People are way too easy to trick with misleading stats. A completion is a completion regardless of any other factors. Doesn’t matter if the receiver is wide open or the QB is falling down and throwing into triple coverage. An incomplete pass is the same whether it was a wide open drop or the QB missed the guy by 20 yards.
