This does not mean QBs coach Tom Clements is retiring. He will be back on coach Matt LaFleur’s staff in 2024. Great learning experience for Mannion to work under LaFleur and Clements. Good for Jordan Love, too.

1. I saw this. Kinda a big confirmation by Tom here that Clements is certain to return. Huge for Love and only seeing positive things about Mannion, too.

2. This is huge. While Love really progressed as the season went along there is still work to be done in terms of his footwork.

4. THANK YOU!!! it’s crazy how many speed read past the most important details, I get it, it’s easy to do but the answer is in the title of the post about it. Like “assist in passing game” that’s not what Clements does.
   Funniest thing is, alot of people didn’t even know who Clements was till 2 months ago!

5. Pretty sure only the overreacting dumb people thought he was retiring. It’s obvious they’ll use him to teach, at least even a little, to the new guy who will inherit the QB coach position down the road. ~~Draft~~ Hire and develop.

6. I’m guessing Tom Clements will retire in the next few season. So Mannion may be his replacement.
