Minnesota, per league sources, tried to trade for Morris when he was in Washington prior to Detroit. The Pistons, though, also value what Morris brings to the table as a veteran guard who takes care of the ball and can shoot. Morris just returned from injuries that forced him to miss the first 43 games of the season.

  1. With the amount of interest the Pistons are showing in bringing in some veterans, I’m becoming less optimistic about getting Morris. Feels like the asking price is gonna be really high, although he’s exactly what the Timberwolves need. He’s the ideal player IMO, at least as far as realistic options go.

  2. Pistons rotation is a nightmare. It really shouldn’t take much. He’s played like 4 games this year and is expiring. Do they really find much value in playing him 15 mins a night for the next three months and get zero return when he’s a FA this summer? 25 or 26 2nd rounder.

  3. Monte Morris for Shake Milton, Troy Brown, and a 2nd rounder? Is that a fair price?

Although idk if they’d want Milton or Troy, and giving up some of our young pieces would be an overpay…

  4. lil Jmac has been playing so well in his stints recently that I don’t know how much need there actually is for a backup pg. It feels like these trade targets are more for mike Conley insurance instead of actually filling a dire need.
