Marco Vargas having the best hit tool in our system is exciting
“Christian Scott led ALL minor league pitchers with at least 80 innings pitched in – WHIP (Walks plus hits per inning pitched) – Strikeout/walk ratio – and FIP (Fielder independent pitching) with great command when the Mets made him change to a 4-seam fastball.”
I truly believe he could be a frontline starter someday. And it’s awesome knowing our pitching lab/new development is actually churning now. The old shitty system probably would have not changed him.
And he can be in the MLB at some point in 2024
ALSO Nate Lavender could be a sleeper prospect reliever for the Mets going forward
