  1. For one protected pick I think everyone is in. Especially if we get to get rid of the bum dinwiddie

  2. Do it, the Nets need a point guard who can push the pace in the worst way. And I think Spencer could probably play well under Quin Snyder and be a good change of pace from Trey while allowing the Hawks to maximize the lineup around their star guard m

  3. You are not winning a title or being more than a 7 or 8 seed with Dejounte. Terrible move imo if they do it. Keep the cap space and let CT develop rest of season. See what’s left of Simmons. Regroup in the off-season. Mikal, Clax, CT, maybe Simmons is a solid foundation. Need a bigger fish than Dejounte to make a real difference.

  4. I’ll take him. I think the concerns with his personality are definitely more than fair but his contract isn’t awful, we need a playmaker and we can move him later for a star especially if he regains value.

  5. Marks should only do this if Atlanta lowers the price. Otherwise he can be the Hawks new John Collins

  6. Please make it happen. If we aren’t blowing it up bring in a very good pg who can play next to Ben.

  7. DeJounte, as in Dejounte himself has been in talks with the Brooklyn Nets? Or, have the Hawks been in touch with the Nets. What kind of tweet is this..?!

Either way, Murray fits this squad really well, and he would probably be in my top 3 fav Nets (CT and Clax) if we got him.

  8. I doubt ATL does that, I feel like somebody is offering better than 1 protected pick. If that’s all though that’s a great deal to see if we can improve at PG.

  9. That will never happen, a protected pick and an expiring. Zero chance but yes, I’d do it. It would probably take two firsts with very little if any protections.

  10. If Atlanta wants him gone, they’ll take Din and a protected 1st round pick. I don’t know if Atlanta wants him gone though.

It may be unnecessary to some fans, but since the Nets don’t control their own picks for the next few seasons, I say it’s better then giving Houston big lotto picks if they Nets are a play-in team. Heck, maybe Murray can play well with Simmons (when healthy) and Mikhal. Couldn’t be any worse than with Din at the point.

  11. Why is everyone saying “do it”. Atlanta said they want 2 picks and a good player. Lakers are offering way more than the nets are 😂. The nets clearly aren’t going to meet these demands

  12. I don’t like the idea of having two small guards in Thomas and Murray. But at that price I can live with it.

  13. Maybe some pieces and Simmons brings back some value for the Nets next offseason when he is an expiring contract.
