The hunt for the 1 seed starts now.

I mean we’re here already, might as well go all the way

  1. Only way the Cavs could possibly do it would be to beat the Celtics the remaining game we play against them. I don’t really see a realistic way to make up ground against the Celtics unless they collapse. Even if the Cavs go undefeated the rest of the way, I don’t think there is much of a chance that the Celtics lose seven games in the rest of the stretch.

  2. Is it even possible to catch Boston? Maybe… Maybe. Is there any reason not to FUCKING SEND IT? I think not. Don’t take the title too seriously y’all, let’s just agree the Cavs are gonna kill the rest of the schedule. Cool? Cool

  3. The Celtics are currently on pace for 62 wins.

To match that we would have to go 30-4 the rest of the way.

The worst I could imagine the Celtics finishing is maybe 57-25 (would mean they go 19-13 the rest of the way) which would still require us to 25-9 just to match them

  4. Maybe not a take other Cavs fans want to hear but the Celtics schedule looks a lot like ours the rest of thew way from what I’ve checked so far. I could see the Celtics and Cavs pulling well ahead of the 3rd seed maybe but we might be locked in to the 2. That’s not bad though!!!

  5. First place, last place, fuckin’ Euro League, don’t matter. The East runs through Cleveland.

  6. i’d be happy holding our ground at 2 — this team has consistently collapsed after ASW for the past two years (albeit mostly due to injury). as long as we don’t tank down the rankings like we have before the second half of the season, i am pleased. plus at 2 we’ll get a play in team (hopefully not the heat 💀)
