The shining moment to me was when Lombardi called him Fegler and Felger who constantly and I mean ALL THE DAMN TIME mispronounces names couldnt help but correct him. Within a millisecond.

Is anyone better off for watching those two guys argue? The only redeeming moment of that debate was when Lombardi called Felger feggler.

Lombardi’s obsequious devotion to Bill is the sort of blind loyalty that turned this franchise on its head. It’s convenient that he either was in the building or wasn’t depending on how cornered he felt by Felger’s questions.
I typically can’t stand sports talk personalities but I’m honestly embarrassed for Mike Lombardi because of how hard he shilled while tap dancing around his own contradictions.
It’s nice to see a person with extensive media training react the same way as a regular Joe does to a Felger take that he disagrees with. Just pure rage lol
Taken as pure entertainment and ability to do his job, Felger is actually elite. Could go bar for bar with anyone in the business. He’s WAY too had on Bill but he’s made it his stance and I think he actually believes it which is crazy to think, because it’s insane
But Lombo is SUCH a blowhard and had no idea what he was walking into. He was thinking worst case scenario he was gonna get a Skip type persona/gimmick…no no no Felger actually believes his own insanity lol

It was like Hagler – Hearns. Just a couple of gentlemen engaging in a civil brand of back and forth for a moment and then HOLY SHIT!
The fact of the matter is that the Patriots were a winning team for a solid 15 years, and the NFL is a parity team. We all knew that eventually we would have to rebuild, and the cost of being so good for so long was going to be an epic collapse.
Now at the same time, I do think some stubborn coaching decisions may have set us back a bit further, but it’s wild to try and discount all that Bill has done because the rebuild didn’t go as planned.
Frankly, I still don’t think Mac was the wrong choice, I feel like Mac was dealt a massively shitty hand, and that no quarterback would have succeeded under those circumstances. He was never going to be Brady, but he could have been Andy Dalton. You give him shitty coordinators, a shitty line, and shitty receivers, and suddenly he’s Sam Darnold seeing ghosts.
