  1. Cool logo. I’m sure commanders is here to stay for another couple years. Something along these lines would be cool instead of a W.

  2. I mean even then what’s stopping them from changing there views between now and the draft. We still have pro days and combine

  3. Just an FYI, our GM Poles said that he would ask candidates how they would use the 4 QB’s (including Fields). There weren’t discussions about wanting to keep or draft anyone.

  4. The last time I was so invested in an offseason and college stuff and pro days and combines was 2012..we are a far more stable organization than we were then. Any qb that comes is will be fine…

  5. The question is: Is Kliff intel on Caleb Williams is enough to convince Adam Peters to move up to #1?

  6. Wouldn’t you think the time that Kliff spent with Caleb coaching him be the biggest Caleb knowledge he possesses? Not several hours interviewing with the Bears.

  7. It’s unlikely the Bears told coaches in interviews what their plans are or how they have players ranked. They likely let the candidates do the talking. And even if Kliff did get some kind of info from Chicago, what difference would it even make? The Bears have the #1 pick. How would the Commanders even use the information to their benefit?

  8. First of all, it’s really naive to think the Bears gave any useful intel during their interview process.

Second, what would it matter? If you want Caleb, they still have the leverage, and we would still have to compete with the offers from other desperate teams. It’s not just Washington and Chicago in the equation if the Bears open the market.

If we’re throwing out baseless speculation like this tweet – I bet it’s much more likely that the Bears got useful intel from Kliff if they talked about him just by his body language, words chosen, enthusiasm, etc. Probably like if you’re already deciding to buy an expensive device and you feel better about seeing more positive reviews. More speculation – it could’ve been the only reason they brought Kliff in for the interview in the first place. They may not like his scheme and style at all.

Wow this speculation thing is really easy.

  9. Dumbest take ever. Pole and Peters would determine the value of #1. Neither give a shit what the other thinks of the player

  10. Armed with the knowledge that they plan on taking Williams with the first overall pick? Huge advantage… Chess not checkers everyone

  11. Do people actually think teams are telling candidates their secret plans knowing full well they can’t hire them all and not considering other teams will?

  12. I thought it was interesting hearing Mahomes and Kittle say that they think Fields should get another shot in Chicago.

If you really think about it, that dudes been dealt a rough hand. Chicago has done nothing to help put him in a good situation. With the right OC and some stability, a trade down could make some sense for them. Get a huge number of picks for the future while also building around Fields, which they haven’t done.

  13. Highly doubt they discussed that with him in depth. They’d be foolish, for reasons exactly like this

  14. people are giving Poles way too much credit He probably didn’t know what not to say, but also, probably has no plan.

  15. I find it interesting how people can have such bad takes, but somehow make people like OP think they’re saying something groundbreaking.
