Lot of talk over the last few weeks/months with the upcoming trade deadline. Some good, some poo, but I think what the Thunder needs in a player is crystal clear.
A big, who can rebound AND space the floor.
We get out-rebounded consistently almost every night and currently rank 25th in RPG, so that’s an obvious one.
Our offensive strategy is Shai driving (leader in drives per game), drawing the defences in to cover the paint and then kicking out to the open 3pt shooter. This has allowed our best ever 3P% (in the post-Sonics era), currently sitting at 3rd in the league this season.
I’m here to give you a name you’ve probably never heard of…. DUOP REATH.
The man stepped up big time for the Blazers while DeAndre Ayton was injured, averaging 13.5PPG, 6.6RPG and 44.9 3P% as the back up starter.
The only box he doesn’t tick, is the playoff experience/general NBA tenure. Outside of this, he’s exactly what we need and the perfect 4/5th option when playing with our starters.
Prove me wrong.

The Great Reath is on a two way contract. Would you trade Lindey or Sarr for him?
Now this I like. I really haven’t thought of this one. That 39.3% is on 3.6 attempts a game, too. He’s at 60.7 TS% on the year, a far cry from J-Will’s 53.3.

Suggested trading for Reath way back before Ayton got injured. In fact looking back at the Australian national team I thought Landale would be another good work horse that comes with good playoff experience against Jokic to boot.
The Great Barrier Reath looked great at the Worlds. I think he surprised everyone. The kid didn’t even pick up a basketball until his teens, so he’s still improving. My only doubt is that he’s done so well the Blazers will likely be reluctant to let him go.
