This is the response of a leader. It’s not personal, and he knows it. Of all the players in a slump, I have the most faith he bounces back into form

  1. Shesty knows he hasn’t been playing to his usual standards. He understands that the team needs to do what’s best for us to win.

  2. No one should question his competitive drive or mental toughness. I have full faith in Igor being able to bounce back at some point this year. I especially expect him to be rock solid in the playoffs no matter how the rest of his season goes.

  3. He has always shown an ability to bounce back before so there is no reason to doubt that he won’t this time. He wasn’t looking good for much of the second half of the 2021-2022 season, but then bounced back for the playoffs.

  4. Fair comment and good to hear. First step in fixing a problem is recognizing and admitting it exists.

  5. Igor is hard on himself but not other players, which is a wonderful attribute but he needs to find better balance of knowing it isn’t ALWAYS his “fault” – especially with a team in front of him that is so sketchy.

  6. Jonathan Quick is a HOF goalie and Stanley Cup champion, he isn’t sitting to a career backup. Quick has played great and we should ride him while hot.

  7. We’ve seen what Shesty is capable of even in tough spots. He was getting railed by the Pittsburgh crowd and shut it down rest of the series. Plus he’s working with the best goalie coach. I have zero worries about him, trust the process fellas

  8. Look at Bobrovsky last year in Florida. Struggled all year, didn’t start the playoffs, then got super hot. Shit happens, long season.

  9. I hope everyone is right. He just seems different this year , the mannerisms and the facial expressions Like he has no confidence

My words to him “So you let in a bad goal. It’s not the end of the world. Move past it forget about it and focus on what’s in front of you “.

If he re learns how to do that, he should be fine

Something just seems off, IMO. 🤷🏻‍♂️

  10. We’ve been slumping for weeks and we’re still first in the Metro. That’s the benefit of padding our points early and having Quick playing like a cyborg. Why wouldn’t we take advantage of our situation and give Shesty rest and the time he needs to get his game figured out?

He’s the only guy come playoff time. I don’t care how well or often he plays in February as long as he gets it together when it matters.

  11. Dammit I wish he was starting tonite , got tickets months ago as I’m in town for business trip . Oh well as long as we get a W!!! LFG
